Four people were killed in two separate landslides after heavy rains in Jayapura, Papua, while at least eight villages were swallowed by floods in Morowali, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday.


The victims were found in two separate places. Fredy Mote, 15, and his sister, Meliana Mote, 8, were found dead in their home in the Nirwana housing complex in the Angkasa sub district after the room at the back of their home was buried by a landslide at 5:30 a.m. local time. Two other victims, Yeni Yati Maga, 45 and her daughter, Shinta Kabarek, 3, were found dead holding each other in one of the rooms at their home located near the Jayapura Port.

"The house is located on a cliff. I had suggested that the chief ask the family living above to stop digging the land because of the risk of landslides and it did happen," said the victims' neighbor Yusuf Bengen, whose kitchen collapsed because of the landslide.

Jayapura police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Robert Jhoenso told reporters that rescuers were able to help the victims half an hour after the tragedy, but rescuers took six hours to evacuate the victims near the Jayapura Port because of the difficulties to reach the location. "People were still worried that another flood could take place if there was another heavy downpour in the area"

Then the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. By doing so, he showed his false leg. He had no left leg. Looking at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who, understands."

Durian is classified as Durio Zibethinus. It is native to South East Asia. Durian is known as the king of fruits. It is not only the most expensive fruit but also the most controversial fruit which is prohibited from the airline cabin, hotels and some public transports.
The durian tree is large and very tall. It can grow up to 25 - 50 meters and it has green elliptic leaves. A durian tree usually can bear fruit after four or five years.

Tamansari is an interesting place to visit. Besides the location is very close to the Sultan palace, Taman sari has its own special attraction with some ancient buildings with its atmosphere as the main tourist object of Yogyakarta.
